Pohjaset was founded in 1983 as independent owned company. Business areas are transportation, logistics, and waste and refuse management. We also maintain and repair heavy duty vehicles. Area of operations are Finland and Northern Sweden.

Company history

Sole Proprietorship (1955 to 1994)
The company began as a profitable sole proprietorship in 1955
Early in its history, the company recognized the value to good asset deployment by using independent owner operators to supply the driver and tractor to perform the company's delivery service. Over these years, the company has developed in accounting, loss prevention, sales, marketing, purchasing, maintenance, and operations to improve the measure of operator/affiliates success. In effect, the company has created a business network which has proven mutually successful for the company and its affiliates.

Private Family-owned (1994 to present)

From earth-moving to heavy transport services. the company is a family owned company that mainly operates in Northern Finland area. Its main office is the port city o Kemi, the population is roughly 25,000 inhabitants.
